Terminal Barber Shop – A Classic Barber Shop
The Terminal Barber Shop has proudly operated at the corner of Bay and Dundas streets since 1925, and has been an important downtown fixture in Toronto – even pre-dating the 1950 bus terminal after which it is now named.
Receiving a significant renovation in 2005 when it was repurchased, the welcoming atmosphere features four traditional tonsorial chairs dating from 1895-1907 and originating from Chicago. Two exquisite, unique handmade, oil-painted Romanesque cabinets and an 1866 cash register from New York round out the decor. The recent renovations have created a classic barber shop ambience that has been of interest as a location for many film companies.
Situated between the Bay street financial district to the south and Yorkville to the north, the Terminal Barber Shop is a convenient stop on a busy day.
